Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Newton Woman Charged With DUI In Crash, No One Hurt A 56-year-old Newton woman was under the influence when she drove her 2016 BMW into another vehicle stopped for a red light Saturday night, police said.  Tammy Hyatt was attempting a right turn onto Moran Street from Trinity Street around 10:36 p.m. when she struck a Ford Focus on Moran, police said.  Neither Hyatt nor the woman in the Ford were injured.  In addition to DUI, Hyatt was issued motor-vehicle summonses for careless driving and failure to keep right.  Hyatt was released pending a July 30 court appearance.

Police Looking For Man Who Took 'Up-skirt' Photos In Union Police in Union are searching for a man who took intimate pictures of a female without her knowledge, a department spokesman said.  The incident occurred July 12 at a store in the 900 block of Springfield Road. The victim was wearing a skirt when the suspect took the pictures, police said.  The suspect was driving a silver 2012 Volkswagen Jetta.  The suspect, who was not immediately identified, is not from the area but is known to Union police, the spokesman also said.

Mismatched License Plates Lead To Gun Arrest In Newark: Sheriff A Georgia man was arrested at Weequahic Park in Newark on weapons offenses, including possession of illegal ammunition, Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura said.  Coy Jones, 64, of Calhoun, was parked on the Rt. 22 service road around 11:15 a.m. Sunday. North Bergen Woman Found Dead At Jersey Shore: Report A woman from Hudson County was found dead on a beach in Highlands Sunday morning, News 4 New York reported.  Melissa Fries, 37, was reported missing Saturday night after going swimming with friends.  State Police, Highland police, the U.S. Coast Guard and other agencies joined in a water search for the woman, who was reported missing around 11:15 p.m.  An investigation into the precise cause of death was pending an autopsy, but it appears to be accidental, authorities also said.
