Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Fake Grenade Causes Real Problem For Man At Newark Airport, TSA Says A man was removed from a flight at Newark Liberty International Airport Saturday after a realistic replica grenade was found in his carry-on luggage, a spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration said Monday.  The man, whose identity was not released, was taken off the plane and questioned while explosives experts determined the grenade was not real.  Authentic-looking replicas are prohibited on flights, the TSA said.  The man was not charged, the agency also said.

Cranford Man Had 1,000 Videos Of Child Pornography: US Attorney The U.S. Attorney's Office said it found a large cache of images and video of child pornography at the home of a Cranford man.  Joseph Hinksmon, 41, was scheduled to appear in Newark federal court Friday afternoon on charges of possession of images of child sexual abuse.  A search of Hinksmon's home Wednesday turned up about 10,000 images and 1,000 videos stored on Hinksmon's computers and other devices , authorities said. Man Charged With Repeated Sexual Assaults Of Girl, 7, In Linden A man from Franklin in Somerset County has been charged with sexually assaulting a young child on multiple occasions in Linden, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said.  Daniel Williams, 36, began assaulting the girl in 2014, when she was seven, according to authorities. The assaults continued into 2015.  He has been charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Union City Man Found Dead On Sandy Hook Beach A man whose lifeless body was discovered on a beach in Sandy Hook has been identified as a 61-year-old Union City resident, Middletown police said.  Andrei Chichkine was found Wednesday afternoon at the "F" beach, according to police. Chichkline's death is not considered suspicious.  He is the second Hudson County resident to die at the Shore in the last few days. Melissa Fries, a 37-year-old North Bergen woman, went missing while swimming Saturday night off Highlands. Her body was found on the beach the next day.
