Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Clifton Woman, 35, ID'd As Victim Fatally Struck By Light Rail Train The person killed when she was struck by a light rail train in Weehawken Monday night is a 35-year-old Clifton woman, NJ Transit said.  Saskia Guerrero was struck by the Hudson-Bergen line train around 11 p.m. near Port Imperial Boulevard. The Hoboken train had about 70 people aboard.  Family have started a GoFundMe campaign on her behalf to help with expenses. The incident remains under investigation.

Snake, Almost On A Plane: Pet Left Behind At Newark Airport, TSA Says The Transportation Security Administration is looking for the owner of a nonvenomous snake that was found near a security checkpoint at Newark Liberty International Airport Monday night.  The 15-inch ring-necked snake, which is black and has a yellow band of coloring on its neck,  was seen by a child in Terminal C. NJ Transit Investigating After Man Falls Out Of Train In Secaucus A spokeswoman for NJ Transit blamed "human error" for a frightening incident Monday evening, when the doors opened on the wrong side of a train at the Secaucus Junction station, sending a man spilling out.  The man was not seriously injured and declined medical attention.  The incident occurred aboard a North Jersey Coast Line shortly before 6 p.m. The train was stopped at the station when the doors opened, sending the man tumbling onto the tracks.  The incident is under investigation, the spokeswoman said.

Man Gets 23 Years For Role In Plainfield Shooting That Killed 1, Injured Child An Edison man who previously pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in a shooting that left one dead and two wounded in Plainfield was sentenced Friday to 23 years in prison, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said.  Jordan Robinson, 25, must serve at least 85 percent of the sentence under the state's No Early Release Act.  On Nov. 6, 2015, gunfire broke out on the 300 block of Evona Avenue, killing 24-year-old Anthony Bowles of Plainfield. Click here for more.  Original story:  A pedestrian died Monday night when she was hit by a Hudson Bergen Light Rail train in Weehawken, NJ Transit said.  The woman was hit around 11 p.m. near Port Imperial Boulevard.
