Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

West New York Man, 22, Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Turnpike In Secaucus A West New York man was killed when he struck a guardrail on the New Jersey Turnpike with his motorcycle Saturday, State Police said.  Agustin G. Amendola, 22, was leaving the Turnpike at Exit 16E in Secaucus around 10:40 a.m. when he hit the guardrail and was thrown from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.  In a tragic coincidence, he is one of two young men killed on the Turnpike Saturday from Hudson County. A North Bergen man, also aged 22, died in a crash in Burlington County later that day.

Kids Pepper-Sprayed At Jersey City School; 2nd Such Incident In JC Since May Six students were hospitalized for respiratory distress after they were exposed to pepper spray at their Jersey City middle school Monday, a city spokeswoman said.  Police and firefighters responded to Frank Conwell Middle School around 1:30 p.m. and were told the pepper spray had been deployed inside the gym. North Bergen Man, 22, Identified As Victim In Fatal Turnpike Crash The person killed in a crash on the New Jersey Turnpike Saturday in Burlington County is a 22-year-old North Bergen man, State Police said.  Mohamedam A. Elbezaz was in a rear seat of a car traveling north around 4 p.m. when the vehicle bounced off a guardrail and collided with an SUV in Mansfield Township.  Elbezaz was pronounced dead at the scene. Woman Struck And Killed By Car Near Newark Penn Station The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating after a woman was hit by a car in Newark and died early Monday morning, a spokesman confirmed.  The woman, whose identity was not immediately released, was hit near Penn Station, in the area of McCarter Highway and Market Street, around 2:20 a.m. She was pronounced dead at University Hospital about a half-hour later.  The driver remained at the scene, the prosecutor's office also said.

Suspect Identified In Linden Shooting A 26-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and other offenses in connection with a shooting Friday night, police in Linden said.  A 49-year-old man was wounded around 8:15 p.m. inside a Cedar Avenue home, police said. He was taken to University Hospital for treatment.  Derrick Merisma has also been charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses, police said.
