New Milford Senior Awarded $50K Scholarship NEW MILFORD, N.J. — A $50,000 scholarship was awarded to a New Milford High School senior to pursue studies in the visual arts. Jillian Garcia received the Chairman’s Merit Award Scholarship to the School of Visual Arts, among the largest scholarships that the school awards. The other largest is the Rhodes Merit Scholarship. The award is based on a student’s academic records and portfolio accomplishments. Students are able to renew the scholarship each year, contingent upon being enrolled full time and maintaining a 3.0 GPA. Click here for more information.
