Hudson Valley Man Nabbed With Loaded Gun Following Chase, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was nabbed with a loaded semi-automatic ghost gun after a chase with police. The incident occurred in Orange County on Wednesday, July 24, around 11 p.m. in the area of Third Street and City Terrace in the city of Newburgh. According to Newburgh Chief of Staff Mike Neppl, detectives from the department's Non-Fatal Shooting Task Force were patrolling the area, which has experienced a rash of narcotics complaints and shooting incidents. CT 19-Year-Old Charged With Shooting Man On City Street A Connecticut 19-year-old was charged with assault for allegedly shooting another man on a city street last month. Bridgeport resident Maurice Beverly was arrested on Thursday, July 11, for the Sunday, June 23 incident in which a 23-year-old New Haven resident was shot on a city street in New Haven. Man Wanted For Norwalk Child Sex Abuse Nabbed In California, Police Say A man wanted in Fairfield County on two counts of alleged lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 was nabbed in California. Jeffrey Farr, age 74, of San Diego, who Norwalk Police wanted, was arrested by US Marshals and Norwalk officers at his California home on Thursday, July 25. Farr is accused of sexually assaulting a family member, said Sgt. Ryan Evart of the Norwalk Police. Shelton Resident Charged With Illegal Possession Of Fireworks After Fire A Fairfield County man whose home was burned down by a court order due to the large number of fireworks inside has been charged with alleged possession of illegal fireworks and reckless endangerment. Witnesses Wanted After CT 55-Year-Old Dies In Single-Vehicle Crash Connecticut State Police are seeking witnesses to a single-vehicle crash after a 55-year-old man was killed. The incident occurred in New London County on Thursday, July 25, on the Shetucket Turnpike in Voluntown. Man Found Dead In CT Stream Was Strangled, Police Say The death of a Connecticut man who was found face down in a stream has been ruled a homicide by strangulation by the state Medical Examiner's Office. The New Haven man, identified as Miguel Rivera, age 62, was found in a stream around 7:10 a.m. on Friday, July 19, in a stream in the area of Hemingway Street.
