Two Injured In Warren County House Fire: Police Two people were injured in a house fire in Washington Township on the evening of Monday, Feb. 12, authorities said. At 9:29 p.m., first responders responded to a residence on the 400 block of E. Washington Avenue for a structure fire, Washington Township police said. Upon arrival, flames and heavy smoke conditions were observed and soon the home was fully engulfed, police said.  Two people had self evacuated prior to arrival, police said. On Friday, Jan. 5 at 5 p.m., two suspects, Christopher Lassiter, a 30-year-old Newark resident and Hamid Travis, 31, burglarized a home on Wayland Drive, Verona police said on Facebook. Upon entering the phone, they proceeded to ransack it, taking numerous items, police said. JCPenney Moving To Willowbrook Mall JCPenney is on the move in Passaic County. The department store chain is relocating from the Wayne Town Center to Willowbrook Mall next month in the township, Ryan Hidalgo, the senior general manager of the mall said.  JCPenney will be taking the spot formally occupied by Lord and Taylor, Hidalgo said. JCPenney has 10 locations in the Garden State, including in Woodbridge and Jersey City.

Storm Knocks Power To Thousands In North Jersey Thousands of residents in northern New Jersey were without power as of Tuesday, Feb. 13 amid the snow storm that dropped several inches on the region. The JCP&L outage map shows 2,390 had no power in Warren County, mainly in Harmony Twp., Lopatcong, Phillipsburg, Pohatcong, and White Township as of 11:35 a.m. In Somerset County, nearly 900 residents had no power, mostly in Branchburg (790). Nearly 1,500 Hunterdon County residents were also in the dark. Those residents without power are mainly residents of Clinton, Holland, Lebanon, and Readington. Restoration times varied.
