Joseph Palumbo Jr., a Columbia resident carried out the illegal manufacture and sale of ghost guns between December 2023 and February 2024, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll and Warren County Prosecutor James Pfeiffer said. Eddie Negron, Longtime North Jersey Detective, Dies At 46 Eddie Negron, a longtime police officer who worked in East Newark and the Essex County Prosecutor's Office, died on Saturday Feb. 10 in Philadelphia at the age of 46, according to his obituary. Born in Hoboken, Negron joined the East Newark Police Department in July 1998 and moved to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office as a detective in 2005, later achieving the rank of sergeant.   Negron retired in 2022 when he had a double-lung transplant after contracting COVID-19.  Negron also served in the East Newark Fire Department. PA Man Steals $40K In Jewelry From Morris County Home: Police A 34-year-old man from Albrightsville, Pa. man was arrested and charged on Thursday, Feb. 15 after he stole $40,000 in jewelry from a house in Morris County, NJ police said. The man, who was not identified by Washington Township police, was arrested after an investigation into the theft from a Long Valley home, officers said. The man was charged with theft in the third degree, police said.

Six Injured In Route 80 Three-Car Crash: State Police Six people were injured in a three-car crash on Route 80 over the weekend.  At 8:53 p.m., a Toyota, a Dodge and a Chevrolet were traveling westbound on Route 80 in Allamuchy Township when the Toyota lost directional control and struck a guardrail Saturday evening, Feb. 17, Jeffrey Lebron of the New Jersey State Police said. Warren County Man Assaults Police Officer After Arrest: Springfield Township PD A Warren County man faced multiple charges following a single-car accident on Saturday, Feb. 10, Springfield Township police said. Officers responded to a single-car accident on Wabeno Avenue and arrested a 35-year-old Stewartsville man for driving while intoxicated, following an on-scene investigation, police said on Facebook. While the man, who police did not identify, was in custody, he assaulted an officer and was charged with aggravated assault and obstructing the administration of law, police said.
