Happy Birthday To Teaneck's Zab Judah
TEANECK, N.J. -- Happy birthday to pro boxer Zab Judah, who lived in Teaneck, Alpine and Closter during his professional boxing career. He turns 39 on Thursday.
Born in Brooklyn, on Oct. 27, 1977, he began boxing when he was 6 and went pro at 18.
Judah's been a four-time world champion, having held the WBO light welterweight title and the undisputed WBA, WBC and IBF welterweight titles, and he was the lineal welterweight champion from 2005-2006.
In his professional career, his record, over the course of his 53 fights, he had 42 wins and nine losses.

Raffle, With Top Prize Of $500, Aids Englewood Animal Rescue
ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Save the Animals Rescue Team II is once again selling tickets for its yearly raffle, to help offset vet bills, food and shelter for animals in its care.START II is an all-volunteer, nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue group in Englewood. It partners with three local PetSmart stores, for animal adoption events.
Tickets are $1 each, sold in books of 10 or individually. There are three winners: a $500 first-place prize, $400 for second and $300 for third, all paid with a TD Bank gift card.
