Matthew Hayes, 67, Dumont Resident
DUMONT, N.J. -- Matthew Hayes, of Dumont, died on Saturday, Feb. 4. He was 67.
Hayes was a truck driver with All Chem Transport Co., of Lakewood, for more than 30 years. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local No. 560.
He was a former councilman of Dumont and a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus St. Johns Council No. 1345, as well as a past Faithful Navigator of the Color Corps. He also served as chairman for the March for Life drive.
Hayes was also a devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, in Dumont, where he was a member of the Parish Council and also served as an usher. …

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Martha Phillips, of Rutherford, died on Sunday, Feb. 5. She was 87.
Born in Pennsylvania, Phillips lived in Boca Raton, Florida, before moving to Rutherford two years ago. Before she retired, she was the owner of Tara Travel, in Massachusetts.
She is survived by her children, Laura Tzanavaris, Vincent Parmese and Margaret Parmese; grandchildren Nikolaos, Ariana, Michael, Norah and Jimmy; great-grandchildren Alex and Katerina; and siblings Louise Lindemann, Albert Phillips, Gabriel Phillips and George Michael Phillips.

Norwood EMS Partners With Community To Collect Supplies For Local Families
NORWOOD, N.J. -- A couple weeks ago, roughly 10 volunteer first responders gathered outside Northvale's ShopRite over the course of the partly-cloudy day, not for any emergency, but to meet two other goals.
With the blessing of ShopRite and Inserra Supermarkets, on Jan. 21, members of the Norwood EMS collected what it conservatively estimated at $3,000-4,000 worth of items for people in need, with the help of fellow community members.

WAYNE, N.J. -- Mary Ann Rigolosi, of Wayne, died on Thursday, Feb. 2. She was 41.
Born in Paterson, Rigolosi lived in Lodi for 24 years, Clifton for six and Wayne for the past 11 years. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, in Lodi. She was a salesperson with Mobility Elevator and Lift Company, in West Caldwell.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Robert Rigolosi; parents Francesco and Grazia Ribaudo; children Jessica and Jason Rigolosi; twin sister Giuseppina Shafranko and her husband Sasha; brother Ciro Ribaudo; and two nieces and two nephews.

CLIFTON, N.J. -- Theresa (Santoyanni) Colombo, of Clifton, died on Thursday, Feb. 2. She was 83.
Born in Italy, Colombo was a seamstress, before she retired.
She is survived by her son, Bartolomeo Colombo, and her granddaughters, Valentina Rose and Sofia Daniella Colombo. She was preceded by her parents, Paolo and Mariaceleste Santoyanni.

RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Sadie "Sally" A. Aloise, a longtime resident of Rutherford, died on Wednesday, Feb 1. She was 92.
