April Fool's Day has been celebrated around the world for centuries, marked by individual pranks, business hoaxes and other types of hijinks, depending on what part of the globe you inhabit.

GARFIELD, N.J. -- Elizabeth "Liz" (Calendrillo) Frega, of Garfield, died on Tuesday, March 28. She was 92.
She is survived by her son, Robert and his wife Michele; grandchildren Vincent, Robert Jr. and Julian; brother Jerry and his wife Else Calendrillo; and many nieces and nephews.
Frega was preceded by her husband, William, and two sisters and five brothers.

LYNDHURST, N.J. – John DiGregorio, of Lyndhurst, died on Tuesday, March 28. He was 84.
Born in Italy, DiGregorio had served in the Italian Army. He came to the United States in 1960. He first lived in Jersey City then in Lyndhurst for 50 years.
He worked for Swepco Tube Corp. in Clifton for 40 years and part time for Inserra Supermarkets – ShopRite of Lyndhurst – for 20 years. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Lyndhurst.

TEANECK, N.J. -- Richard H. Pell, a former resident of Tenafly and Teaneck, died Sunday, March, 26. He was 86.
An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, Pell worked for many years as an advertising executive at J. Walter Thompson in New York City.
